2022 Northwest Regional Fellowship

Our theme this year was “Revival.” Our speaker was Nathan Mestler, President of International Baptist College & Seminary of Chandler, AZ.

On the theme, brother Mestler took Psalm 119 as our text for four very powerful messages. The introductory message worked up to this definition of revival: “When all that God’s Word is, is the heart (treasure) of all that I am.” The following messages built on that theme, first calling us to love the Word, next calling us to remember the Word so as to make it our near companion, then turning to call us to the prayer for reviving the word in our hearts, crying out for the Lord to implant or install it in our inner man, and finally calling for us to find in revival when our hearts are enlarged and clinging to God’s truth. (Note: audio recordings below.)

We were all blessed by the meeting. Our Regional Director, Pastor Greg Kaminski said:

“This year’s Northwest Regional was such a blessing. Not only from the amazing messages Pastor Nathan Mestler gave and the wonderful Hospitality of Galilee Baptist Church but in the fellowship with so many that we have not seen in a long time. All of us were enlightened in the power and passion for the Word. We went away challenged to increase our passion for the Word not only in our preaching and application of the Word but also in using God’s Word in our prayers. Especially challenging was the call to “front the Word,” making sure it is the source of our conversations and decisions.

We all rejoiced in the relaxation of restrictions that allowed us to hold the conference. Some of our regulars were unable to participate last year, and of course the restrictions of the last couple of years hindered so many things we normally participate in. Several of our local pastors are enduring challenging life situations so were unable to attend. Nevertheless, we took great encouragement in the number of participants. Pastor Kaminski says,

“This year we were thrilled with the number of young adults who were there. Their enthusiasm and participation was so refreshing. Just overall the conference was more than we expected because God put us together to be encouraged by His amazing Word.”

One of our sessions involved group discussions about the impact of Covid on ministry, what we learned, what new things we are doing, and so on. Almost all testified to the new opportunities we have seen, growth in churches, new converts, and a general feeling of optimism. We still have many daily challenges, but the Lord is blessing the churches of the Northwest and we look forward to continuing days of service for him.
